At Abundant Life Church’s new Johnson County campus, the vision for the children’s ministry area was anything but ordinary. The goal: transform a standard space into a full-on space station experience—something that would spark wonder, fuel curiosity, and make kids excited to come back week after week.
Wacky World Studios came on board to bring that vision to life, handling everything from concept design to fabrication and installation. With the entire process managed in-house, the team was able to keep every detail aligned and ensure that every moment of the experience was full of purpose and imagination.
Space Ships and Smooth Check-Ins
The fun starts right at the entrance. A sculpted spaceship, nestled into the corner of the entry area, creates an instant wow moment. Paired with a custom check-in desk and themed kiosks, families are welcomed into a world where even the practical stuff feels like part of the adventure.
Lunar Landings & Lift-Offs

Scattered throughout the space are high-tech panels, glowing buttons, and pretend control systems—just waiting for tiny hands to take command. These playful elements turn waiting time into interactive fun and let kids feel like real members of the space crew.
Hallways that Glow Like a Galaxy
The journey doesn't stop at the play zone. Down the corridors, glowing LED wall panels create a bold, space-station vibe that surrounds kids and families in light and color. These aren’t just decorative—they help set the tone for the entire experience and make every transition feel like part of the story.
Windows to the Stars (& Some Murals Too)
Framing the play area, oversized vinyl window graphics give the illusion of gazing out into deep space—complete with planets, stars, and cosmic color. While the glowing wall panels steal the show in the hallways, accent murals on doors and corridor ends add pops of personality and visual storytelling throughout.
