Timeless Transformation: A Bible Times Journey

Creating a fully immersive Bible times theme at Trinity Church in Deltona, Florida was a labor of love and patience—one that took a few unexpected turns along the way.

This children’s ministry environment was designed to guide kids through a visual journey of the Bible, from the Garden of Eden, to Noah's Ark, to the miracles of Jesus. The church expressed a clear desire for a timeless design—something that wouldn’t feel dated in a few years, but instead would grow with the ministry and continue to inspire for generations.

A Vision Rooted in Storytelling

The space comes to life through expansive digitally painted murals created by Wacky World Studios' team of talented artists. These vibrant, layered scenes are built using a deep library of artwork developed over the years and are customized to tell a cohesive story that unfolds throughout the space. A few 3D sculpted accents were also included to enhance the immersive feel, but the murals truly do the heavy lifting.

Creation Comes to Life

The visual journey begins in a hallway that features the Garden of Eden. This area is filled with lush greens, playful animals, and warm sunlight that welcomes kids as they step into the story of creation. The mural's details invite young imaginations to explore a peaceful world where everything began. Classroom murals continue this theme with smaller, accent scenes from the Garden filled with more animals and hidden surprises that kids love discovering.

All Aboard!

Next, the journey leads into the story of Noah’s Ark—but with a unique twist. Rather than showing the ark from the outside, this section brings kids inside the ark, where a colorful cast of animal characters interacts with the space in fun and whimsical ways. These engaging illustrations are designed to bring smiles to children’s faces while reinforcing the story’s deeper message of faith and God's promises.

Jesus Through a Child's Eyes

The hallway transitions again to highlight the miracles of Jesus. Scenes include Jesus walking on water, healing a lame man, and the powerful scene of the empty tomb. These murals line the hallways and help children connect visually with some of the most awe-inspiring moments in Scripture. The classroom spaces continue this storytelling with smaller mural accents that include Biblical market scenes.

Whimsy and Wonder in the Details

Throughout every area, small fun details are sprinkled into the muralwork—clever little surprises that spark curiosity and give kids (and adults!) something new to notice each time. These artistic touches are part of what sets Wacky World Studios apart, creating layers of engagement that help the space feel alive and always worth exploring.

A Journey Marked by Patience and Faith

But the road to bringing this vision to life wasn’t without its challenges. Early into the process, a fire at the church unexpectedly set back the timeline. Then, a preschool that shared the church campus had plans to move into a new building, which would free up the space for renovation. That move, however, was delayed by more than a year—eventually pushing the full installation date back nearly four years from when the project first began.

During this extended delay, the Wacky World Studios team completed all murals and 3D elements and stored them safely while the church navigated the transitions. Later, the church picked up the pieces and stored them on-site until the time was right. Finally, the space came together, and the results speak for themselves.

A Lasting Impact Worth the Wait

According to Pastor Will Manzano, Executive Pastor at Trinity Church, the transformation has been more than worth the wait. "God is good!" he shared, reflecting on the journey. And when it comes to the kids' reactions, he summed it up simply: "The kids are amazed every time."

This project is a beautiful reminder that even when timelines shift and the road is longer than expected, good things are still being prepared behind the scenes.
